Lynne Ada Lucas of Mississauga, Ontario, passed away peacefully on the evening of December 3, 2025, at Credit Valley Hospital, at the age of 82. Her departure followed a short, unforeseen illness, and she was tenderly attended in her final moments by her devoted husband Arnold and her son Ross, both of whom remained constantly at her side.
She was born in 1943 to a humble family in Ontario, where she learned from an early age that true affection is demonstrated through deeds rather than declarations. Six decades ago, she exchanged vows with Arnold Lucas, and their partnership transformed a simple Mississauga house into a cherished home—a place known for its welcoming atmosphere, traditional Sunday dinners, and the joyful echoes of grandchildren playing.
Lynne dedicated forty years to a career as a real estate agent in the Peel Region, where she earned a reputation for turning clients into friends. She concluded her professional life just in 2023, yet even in retirement she received calls from former clients who valued her guidance above all others.
Recognized for her punctuality—often arriving early with coffee—and her patience in carefully explaining every detail, she approached each transaction as a significant personal event, frequently marking the occasion by sharing a batch of her celebrated homemade butter tarts.
Beyond her work and family life, Lynne found satisfaction in cultivating beautiful roses in her garden, giving her time to support women’s shelters, and enjoying regular, good-humoured golf games with Arnold and their dear friends. She cherished life’s uncomplicated joys: a flourishing flowerbed, a successfully prepared new dish, or a grandchild’s artwork proudly displayed on the refrigerator.
Those who knew her are welcome to attend a visitation in her memory on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A service to celebrate her life will be held the following day, Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. (the specific location will be provided by the family). In place of floral arrangements, the family suggests donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, a charity that became especially meaningful during Lynne’s last days.
