On Saturday, November 29, 2025, Jeffery Lumpkins, 39, of Knott County, Kentucky, passed away at the Highland Appalachian Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, KY.
Jeffery Lumpkins was born on June 26, 1986, in Knott County, Kentucky, to Jerry Wayne Lumpkins Sr. and the late Patricia Caldwell Lumpkins. He grew up in Knott County and remained close to his family throughout his life. His passing at the age of 39 has left a deep void in the community and among his loved ones.
Jeffery is survived by his father, Jerry Wayne Lumpkins Sr., his girlfriend Jessica Mosley, and his children: Paige Lewis, Dakota Lewis, Gary Lewis, Chase Lewis, Nick Mosley, and Addison Mosley. He is also survived by his brothers Shannon Lumpkins, Jerry Lumpkins Jr., and Patrick Lumpkins, his sister Michelle Lumpkins, and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Caldwell Lumpkins.
Funeral Arrangements
Visitation and funeral services will be held at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home in Hindman, Kentucky. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., with Ruby Couch officiating. Burial followed at Defiance Cemetery in Happy, Kentucky.
Jeffery will be remembered for the love he shared with his family and the bonds he maintained with his community. His children, siblings, and extended family recall his presence as a source of strength and joy. His passing at a young age is a reminder of life’s fragility, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
