It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Sean “Bam-Bam” Brady. The 59-year-old Wilmington, Delaware resident and proud longshoreman died on February 3, 2026 after battling illness with the same quiet strength he showed throughout his life. Born on July 24, 1966, Sean was known far and wide as “Bam Bam,” a larger-than-life personality whose presence filled every room and whose loyalty ran deep for family, brothers, and the waterfront community he served for decades.
Sean operated heavy equipment and mastered a towering nine-story crane with remarkable accuracy and precision at the Port of Wilmington as a dedicated member of the International Longshoremen’s Association. Heights never intimidated him, and he took genuine pride in the skill and responsibility his role demanded. Colleagues respected his steady hand and calm focus, qualities that made him a trusted figure on the docks where safety and precision mattered most.
He continued the tradition of his father Franny and uncles Gerald and Danny by riding with the ThunderGuards Motorcycle Club. He was lovingly referred to as “Bam Bam.” For Sean, motorcycles were much more than just a pastime. They provided him with open-road freedom and unbreakable ties to his riding family, and they served as his therapy, companionship, meditation, and proclamation of independence.
Sean was the epitome of a provider. Frequently without any fanfare or expectation of gratitude, he arrived without fail, covered what was to be covered, and handled what needed to be handled. Being a loving family guy, he gave his all to support his loved ones at every stage of life, laying the groundwork for a foundation of safety and nurturing that will continue to lead them.
Sean resisted letting anxiety take over, even while he was sick. As he usually had, he remained upbeat and protected his loved ones from terror. He appeared to have reconciled with the Most High, remaining steadfast in his faith and self-assured in his vocation while confronting every day with the same fortitude that characterized him.
Sean “Bam-Bam” Brady will be remembered as a man of strength, heart, and unwavering loyalty whose impact on the waterfront, the ThunderGuards, and his family will live on for generations. May his loved ones find comfort in the stories, the rides, and the countless ways he showed up for them. Rest in peace, Bam Bam.
