Oscar Todd of Condobolin, New South Wales, a proud graduate of The King’s School class of 2025, has tragically passed away following a serious injury sustained while in North Queensland on April 4, 2026, with his passing confirmed on April 6 despite the dedicated efforts of medical staff, leaving his family, friends, and entire community united in profound sorrow and remembrance.
His connection to The King’s School ran deep from the moment he joined for Year 6 in 2019 as one of the final cohort of Prep Boarders at Gowan Brae, later moving to Macarthur Waddy House in Year 8, where the family legacy continued through his older brother Louis who graduated in 2024, his father Roger from the class of 1991, and other relatives who were also Old Boys.
Oscar quickly became a respected member of his House and was appointed as a House Monitor in his final year, while serving with distinction as a Staff Sergeant in The King’s School Cadet Corps Quartermaster Platoon, roles that highlighted his leadership, resilience, and strong sense of camaraderie within the school community.
A gifted visual artist and talented sportsman, he brought creativity and imagination to everything he undertook, shining as a valued member of the 4th XV Rugby team and powering the 1st IV at the Head of the River regatta, where his dedication and energy stood out to everyone around him.
Among his friends, Oscar was admired not only for his intellect, dedication, and curiosity but also for his loyalty, sincerity, warmth, and humour, fostering friendships built on trust, laughter, and mutual respect that left a positive and enduring influence on all who were fortunate enough to know him.
As the community of Condobolin and the wider King’s School network mourn this young man of remarkable character, Oscar Todd will be remembered for his ambition, steady presence, and deep sense of connection to those around him, qualities that defined a life full of promise and continue to inspire lasting tributes from those whose lives he touched.
