On Friday night, April 10, 2026, just after 10 p.m., Keith Washington, 30, of Harris County, Texas, came at his estranged wife’s house in the 14100 block of Cypress Falls Drive in the Fairwood community of Cypress. He started fire from his silver pickup, breaking the living room window.
He then forced his way inside where Tynice Friday, the mother of their two children, was present along with their 6-year-old son and 18-year-old child. Washington shot Friday multiple times in front of the children before fleeing the residence. The children called 911, and Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene.
Tynice Friday had recently filed for divorce and had expressed fear for her safety according to family members. Deputies found her suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside the home on Cypress Falls Drive. She was pronounced dead at the scene by Harris County paramedics. Washington eventually surrendered without further incident. He was taken into custody and transported to the Harris County Jail.
