A devastating three-vehicle crash claimed the life of 14-year-old Kayden Melson of Campbellsville on Tuesday morning March 10, 2026 along Kentucky Route 88 in Green County. Kentucky State Police Post 15 troopers responded at 9:10 a.m. to the rural stretch of roadway where the teen was driving a Subaru Forester eastbound.
The crash occurred in a curve on KY 88 prompting an immediate large-scale emergency response that included the Green County Coroner and multiple rescue units. The highway remained closed for several hours as investigators documented the scene and cleared the vehicles.
Kayden Melson lost control of the Subaru Forester in the curve crossed the center line and sideswiped a 2006 GMC bucket truck traveling eastbound.
