She worked for Congress in Washington, D.C., contributed to the license branch in Warsaw, and later served at American General Finance of Warsaw. Each role showcased her reliability, professionalism, and ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
When she chose to remain at home, Deborah found joy in the simple pleasures of daily life. She devoted herself to caring for her beloved dog, “Sissy Sue,” whose companionship brought her comfort and happiness. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her household, touching family, friends, and neighbors who admired her kindness and steady presence.
Deborah’s greatest pride was her family. She shared her life with her husband, Mike, and together they built a home filled with love and laughter. She was a devoted mother to her sons, Josh (Michelle) Hughes, Andrew (Ellesha) Hughes, and Timmy (Kelly) Music, and a cherished grandmother to nine grandchildren and one great‑grandchild.
Her family remembers her as a source of encouragement, wisdom, and unconditional love. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, whose memories she carried with her throughout her life.
A celebration of Deborah’s life will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at McHatton‑Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, with visiting hours from 2–4 p.m. and 6–8 p.m. Family and friends will gather to honor her memory, share stories, and reflect on the love she gave so freely.
