Alvin Dean Adler, affectionately known as Dean, died quietly on December 10, 2025, at the age of 80. The people of Blum, Texas, are grieving his loss. His life was a monument to faith, family, and tenacity, and everyone who met him will always treasure his memory.

Dean was born on December 29, 1944, to Edna and Ervin Adler. Growing up in Bynum, Texas, he completed his schooling at Bynum High School before attending Hill College to receive an Associate’s degree in General Studies. His early years demonstrated a great dedication to education and self-improvement, traits that persisted throughout his life.

Dean’s sense of duty and courage led him to serve his country in the National Guard, where he spent seven years as a paratrooper. This chapter of his life highlighted his discipline, bravery, and dedication to service, values that defined him both in uniform and beyond.

On January 17, 1975, Dean married Jennifer Rogers, the love of his life. Together, they built a marriage that spanned five decades, filled with devotion, laughter, and unwavering love. Their partnership was a source of strength and joy, and their bond stood as an example of enduring commitment.

Dean’s life was marked not only by hard work and service but also by a love for adventure and the simple joys of family. He carried himself with humility and kindness, leaving behind a legacy of integrity and compassion that touched the lives of many.

A memorial service to honor Dean’s life will be held on January 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Home in Hillsboro, Texas. Family, friends, and community members will gather to celebrate his remarkable journey and bid farewell to a man whose presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
