Allan Russell Bayville, NJ Death – Vaughn Stewart Killed Self After Murdering In-Laws

Allan Russell, Michelle Russell, and their daughter Deonna Stewart perished in a sad event in Berkeley Township, New Jersey. The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office reports that at around five in the morning on Tuesday, Berkley Township Police Department officers arrived at a residence on Fairwood Drive in Bayville following a complaint of gunfire.

When the SWAT Team entered the residence they found Allan Russell, 61, and his wife Michelle Russell, 60, deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. Authorities then located Deonna Stewart, 38, dead from an apparent gunshot wound on the street approximately 50 yards from the home.

The shooter Vaughn Stewart, 37, of Maplewood the estranged husband of Deonna and father of the couple’s three young children turned the gun on himself inside the residence. The three minor children were found unharmed inside the home and are now being cared for by loved ones. Investigators determined that Vaughn Stewart entered the home shot the Russells then chased Deonna down the street firing multiple shots before returning and taking his own life. No other injuries were reported and the investigation remains active.

The victims were remembered by neighbors and friends as giving and kind people who helped others in the community. Allan and Michelle Russell were recalled as wonderful grandparents and supportive parents whose home was a place of warmth and stability for their family. Deonna Stewart was described as a devoted mother who lived with her parents and children after separating from Vaughn Stewart.
