It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Tyler Allen Wendt at age 32. On February 21, 2026, the cherished resident of the Good Thunder and Amboy area passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a family and community that will forever hold him close in their hearts.
Born on February 1, 1994, in Mankato, Minnesota, to Allen and Colleen Wendt, Tyler grew up in Amboy and graduated from Maple River High School in 2012, where he already showed the vibrant energy and determination that would define him throughout his life.
A beloved son, devoted father, and caring brother, Tyler brought joy and light to everyone fortunate enough to know him. He is survived by his parents Allen and Colleen of Amboy, his sister Megan (Mike) Baedke and niece Grace of Garretson, South Dakota, and his precious daughters Blake October Wendt (with mother Lizzy Severns) and Lillian Aurora Wendt (with mother Jacqi Peterson), along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who cherished his unique spirit.
Tyler was a man of many talents and passions that reflected his love for life and hands-on creativity. He earned his second-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do at the young age of 12, demonstrating early on the discipline and focus he carried into everything he did. He found deep fulfillment in fishing, woodworking, and creating lasting memories with his family during summer camping trips in their pop-up camper to places like Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon.
Friends and family remember Tyler for his laughter, positivity, and the genuine way he connected with others. His resilience and warm heart made him someone people naturally gravitated toward, whether sharing stories, offering a helping hand, or simply enjoying quiet moments together. He lived with purpose and brought a special kind of light to ordinary days, qualities that will continue to inspire those who loved him.
A celebration of Tyler’s life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth, where family and friends will gather to share stories, laughter, and memories in his honor. The service offers a meaningful time to reflect on the beautiful life he led and the lasting impact he made in his 32 years.
