With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Shelley Darlene LeBlanc, who died peacefully on February 17, 2026, at Valley Regional Hospital in Kentville, Nova Scotia, surrounded by her loving family. Shelley was the beloved daughter of the late Jeanette Little-Gallian and Harry Gallian, and she carried their love and strength with her throughout her life.
Rick Willsey, her first husband, passed away far too soon. Shelley, who had lived in the Annapolis Valley for a long time, was kind, strong, and devoted to the individuals she cared for.
Shelley was a master hairstylist by trade, pouring her heart into her work and cherishing each and every one of her clients. Her chair was never just a place for styling hair; it was a space of laughter, meaningful conversation, and genuine connection. Clients became friends over the years, drawn to her skill, her listening ear, and the way she made them feel cared for and beautiful inside and out.
Shelley was a devoted and well-respected coach who guided her grandson’s U18 boys team to the Nationals twice while serving as a VIP curling coach. This achievement demonstrated her dedication, leadership, and faith in her players. She used the same enthusiasm and support to the curling sheet that she provided in the salon, teaching young athletes patience, sportsmanship, and collaboration in addition to skill.
Shelley lived with grace, humor, and an open heart that made her a beloved presence in her family and community. She cherished time with her children, grandchildren, siblings, and extended relatives, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support.
Her nurturing nature extended to everyone she met, whether clients in her chair, young curlers on the ice, or friends and neighbors who relied on her warmth and wisdom. Shelley’s life was one of quiet strength and generosity, leaving behind a legacy of care that continues to comfort those grieving her absence.
