Roman Jose Zapata III Death – Resident of Sinton, Texas unexpectedly died on May 17

Roman Jose “RJ” Zapata III, affectionately known as RJ, of Sinton, Texas, passed away on May 17, 2026, at the age of 27. Born on December 29, 1998, in Corpus Christi, his sudden loss has deeply saddened family, friends, and the Sinton community. Those who knew him remember a vibrant young man with a caring heart who took pride in being himself and formed strong, lifelong connections.

RJ spent most of his life in Sinton, where he attended local public schools and built many meaningful friendships. He carried a strong sense of identity and confidence, always presenting himself with care, from his perfectly combed hair to his personal style. His presence brought warmth and authenticity to those around him, making him a memorable part of the community he called home.

Above all, RJ cherished his role as a father. His beloved daughters, Ava and Trinity, were the center of his world, and he treasured every moment spent with them. He shared a particularly close bond with his mother and maintained strong connections with his siblings, always making sure the people he loved felt valued and important in his life.

Known for his smile, confident presence, and deep love for family and friends, RJ lived with genuine affection and pride. He found joy in the relationships that mattered most and left a lasting impression through his caring nature and the way he showed up for those closest to him.

He is survived by his mother Monica Delossantos (Joe Angel) of Sinton, his father Roman Jose Zapata II (Sylvia) of Corpus Christi, his daughters Ava and Trinity, brothers Michael, Aedin, Jaden, and Jon, sister Angelina, and both sets of grandparents along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

As the Sinton community mourns Roman Jose “RJ” Zapata III, loved ones celebrate a young life filled with love, pride, and meaningful connections. Though taken far too soon, his vibrant spirit and devotion to family will continue to live on through his daughters and all whose lives he touched. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, May 20, 2026, with services on Thursday, May 21, at Resthaven Funeral Home in Sinton and burial at Sinton Cemetery.
