On December 3, 2025, Johnny “Red Fox” Fields of London, Kentucky, passed away at the age of 95. Born on August 20, 1930, in Fogertown, Johnny lived a full and purposeful life defined by faith, family, hard work, and a deep love for the open road.
A lifelong truck driver and proud owner-operator of Fields Trucking, Johnny cherished the freedom and independence of his work. His strong Christian faith guided him in all aspects of his life, shaping him into a man of integrity, loyalty, and quiet strength.
Family was Johnny’s greatest treasure. He was married for 45 years to his beloved wife, Sue Howard Fields, who survives him. Together they raised eight children: Delilah Owens, Tammy Sizemore, Beverly Fields, Sandra Fields, Bettina Fields Pennington, Tyler Fields, Monica Jackson, and Rodney Roark. He was preceded in death by one son, Russell Fields, and a sister, Lucille Fields.
Johnny took immense pride in his eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren and remained close to his siblings Bonnie, Ward, Timmy, and Roy Fields. He also held a special bond with the extended Hoskins family, who lovingly supported him throughout his life.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 8, 2025, in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Kevin Wilson. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
Johnny “Red Fox” Fields will be remembered for his steadfast work ethic, his unwavering faith, and his deep devotion to his family. His legacy of love, loyalty, and resilience will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
