Mr. Simplicio Ramos-Martinez (1975-2025) – A Beloved Father and Resident of Hillsboro, Texas, Has Died

A beloved resident of the community, Simplicio Ramos-Martinez, has sadly passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025, after a brief but courageous illness. He was 50 years old. His son Emmanuel has shared that Mr. Ramos-Martinez was admitted to the hospital on December 16, 2025, for stomach pain and was diagnosed with liver failure and other illnesses.

Mr. Ramos-Martinez’s death was the result of liver failure. While the exact underlying condition is not specified in public records, liver failure is often a late-stage consequence of various chronic liver diseases. These can include conditions where fat accumulates in the liver, which can progress over time to inflammation, scarring (fibrosis and cirrhosis), and eventual organ failure if not managed. His sudden admission following stomach pain indicates a rapid and serious onset of symptoms associated with this final stage of illness.

Born on March 10, 1975, in Hidalgo, Mexico, to Manuel Ramos and the late Emiliana Martinez, Simplicio was described by his family as a loving, strong, and profoundly selfless man. He dedicated his life to working tirelessly to provide for his family and took immense pride in watching his children succeed.

His character was marked by a joyful and generous spirit; he was known as a person who “never met a stranger” and possessed “a heart of a servant,” always willing to help others. His playful nature persisted even during his final days, as he comforted visiting family by assuring them he would be home soon and shared lighthearted moments with his nurses.

Simplicio Ramos-Martinez is survived by his wife, Emilia Valencia; his son, Emmanuel Ramos, and his wife, Guadalupe; his daughters, Magali Crystal Ramos and Clarissa Ramos; and his grandchildren, Giovanni Guerrero and Nathanael Guerrero. He was preceded in death by his mother, Emiliana Martinez.

Services to honor his life were held on Monday, January 5, 2026, at the Iglesia De Dios Getsemani in Hillsboro, Texas. A public visitation was held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed immediately by the funeral service. The burial took place at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro. His family has expressed that his guidance, love, and presence fundamentally shaped who they are, and his memory will forever live on in their hearts.
