Jordan Jones Lawrenceville, GA Death – Alumnus of Mountain View High School Recently Died

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jordan Jones, a gifted athlete, dedicated coach and proud alumnus of Mountain View High School whose passion leadership and commitment left an indelible mark on the Lawrenceville, Georgia community and the Bears athletic program.

The 28-year-old member of the Class of 2015 passed away recently creating a profound void among family friends former teammates students and colleagues who admired his unwavering work ethic and positive influence both on and off the field. His legacy of mentorship and sportsmanship continues to inspire those who knew him best in the Mountain View family.

Jordan Jones excelled as a standout defensive player for the Mountain View Bears during his high school years recording impressive stats that highlighted his strength and determination on the field. As a senior he contributed significantly to the team with numerous tackles and sacks earning recognition as a two time second team All County selection and first team All Region 7 honoree.

Jordan pursued his athletic career at the University of West Alabama after graduating in 2015, where he became an important linebacker for the Lions squad. During his senior year, he led the team with sixty-six total tackles, including forty-two solo stops, five sacks, and four forced fumbles while starting eleven games. He was able to hone his abilities and exhibit the same tenacity and work ethic that characterized him throughout his life while attending the institution.

Jordan later returned to Mountain View High School as a coach giving back to the program that shaped him by mentoring the next generation of student athletes with the same passion and guidance he once received. He served as a role model both on and off the field helping young players develop not only their athletic abilities but also valuable life lessons in teamwork perseverance and sportsmanship.

Those closest to Jordan remember him as a leader who approached every challenge with integrity and a genuine desire to uplift others whether through intense training sessions or everyday encouragement. He maintained a lifestyle centered on family community involvement and a deep love for the game that brought him joy and purpose in Lawrenceville. His friendly approachable nature and commitment to excellence made him a respected figure whose influence extended far beyond the football field.

Jordan Jones’ legacy is proof of a life well lived via outstanding athletic accomplishment, devoted coaching, and the significant positive impact he made on the University of West Alabama program and the Mountain View High School community. Even though he passed away much too young, the leadership, dedication, and mentoring qualities he exemplified will continue to serve as a model for upcoming Bears and Lions players.
