Franklin of Hernando was traveling westbound on Highway 76 when it collided with a 2016 Kia Optima heading northbound on Highway 23. The Kia was driven by 36-year-old Wendy J. Mayhall of Tremont. Gavin Boswell was a passenger in one of the vehicles and sustained critical injuries in the crash.
