Frank Santini of Wasaga Beach, Ontario, a beloved pillar of the Stayner community and longtime supporter of junior hockey, has passed away suddenly, leaving the Stayner Siskins family and everyone who knew him in deep sorrow as they reflect on a life devoted to the sport and the people around him.
From his earliest days on the ice as a young player through years spent coaching and mentoring the next generation of athletes, Frank’s connection to hockey ran as a constant thread that shaped his character and defined much of his time in the Stayner area.
As a dedicated member of the Siskins’ Board of Directors for more than 25 years, he played a crucial role in guiding the Junior C team’s growth and success, always keeping the well-being of the players and the strength of the organization at the heart of every decision he helped shape.
His passion for the game shone through in the countless hours he poured into the club, whether attending games from the sidelines, contributing behind the scenes at meetings and events, or quietly seeking new ways to enhance the experience for players, coaches, and fans alike.
That same devotion was on full display this season as he took special pride in the team’s Carruthers Division championship victory over the Alliston Hornets, speaking often of the players’ hard work and serving as their biggest and most vocal advocate through every moment of the campaign.
Though his sudden passing leaves a noticeable void in the Siskins community and across the local hockey landscape, Frank’s legacy of unwavering commitment, steady support, and genuine love for the game will continue to inspire those who knew him, with heartfelt condolences extended to his family and friends who cherished his steady presence.
