From humble origins with a single dealership over 50 years ago, Howard transformed Capital Auto Group into a powerhouse employing more than 500 people across 13 brands, including BMW, Ford, and Hyundai. His entrepreneurial acumen extended to The Howard Group, managing a vast Howard Properties portfolio that bolstered commercial real estate in St. John’s and beyond.
Howard’s professional excellence earned him prestigious honors, such as the CADA Laureate Award for Ambassadorship and recent induction into the Junior Achievement Newfoundland and Labrador Business Hall of Fame. He served on national dealer councils for major manufacturers, consistently upholding standards of integrity and quality that defined his operations.
A University of New Brunswick commerce graduate, Howard balanced his demanding career with a commitment to community, supporting local organizations through Capital Auto Group’s initiatives and personal philanthropy.
