Dr. Gyan S. Brard, MD, a respected endocrinologist who dedicated nearly three decades of his career to caring for patients across the Phoenix metro area from his practice in Mesa, Arizona, passed away after battling health issues for more than a year, leaving behind a profound legacy of compassionate healing that touched countless lives in the Valley.
A highly skilled and deeply committed physician, Dr. Brard specialized in endocrinology with a focus on complex hormonal and metabolic conditions, approaching every patient with attentiveness, knowledge, and genuine concern that built trust and brought clarity to challenging diagnoses for individuals and families throughout Mesa and surrounding communities.
His path began with medical school at Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine, where he graduated in 1990, followed by postgraduate training at the University of California San Diego Medical Center, experiences that equipped him with the expertise to handle intricate cases and stay at the forefront of his field for more than 35 years of practice.
In private practice with Valley Endocrine Associates since September 1997, Dr. Brard became known for his work on conditions including hypothyroidism, Type 2 diabetes, maturity-onset diabetes of the young, and pediatric obesity, while developing a special emphasis on insulin pump management that included routine downloads during follow-up visits to help patients achieve better daily control and long-term health.
Board-certified in both endocrinology and internal medicine, he practiced at the Mesa office on South 63rd Street and additional locations in Tempe and Gilbert, always making time to connect with each patient on a personal level in a way that went beyond charts and lab results to create a true sense of partnership in their care.
