Marler’s path began at Woodruff High School, where he graduated in 1973, followed by Wofford College in 1977. He went on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1984. Establishing his practice in Easley, he became known not only for his clinical skill but also for his genuine concern for patients’ well-being. Many who sought his care came to regard him as both a trusted dentist and a lifelong friend.

In keeping with his values, the family has requested that contributions be directed to Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, honoring both Marler and Meredith.
