Born in the Beaufort area of Georgia, she built a meaningful career with State Farm Insurance that spanned 28 years, starting in Jacksonville, Florida, before a transfer brought her to Bloomington, where she put down roots and made lasting connections. Later in life, she returned to Georgia to be closer to her parents, but her time in Illinois left an indelible mark on the community she embraced so fully.
Family was at the heart of everything Dee did. She was a devoted mother to Matthew, Molly, Kelsey, and Kalyn, and a loving stepmom who made her blended family feel instantly united and welcomed. Her marriage to Cullen lasted 15 years, filled with shared joys like family gatherings and vacations to Orange Beach.
Dee was the ultimate cheerleader for her kids, encouraging their dreams with a maternal fierceness and generosity that knew no bounds.
