DeAnthony Glenn Harris County, TX Death – Cypress Falls Freshman Has Died at 14

GoFundMe – On Saturday, February 7, 2026, a 14-year-old boy was critically injured in a bicycle versus vehicle collision in northwest Harris County, and family members have now confirmed that he has tragically died from his injuries.

The victim has been identified by his family as DeAnthony Glenn, a freshman at Cypress Falls High School who was remembered as a bright, fun-loving, and caring young man who excelled both academically and athletically, especially in the sport of football that he truly loved.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred at approximately 11:15 p.m. on State Highway 6 near Pebble Lake Drive in northwest Harris County. Sergeant Ben Troyer stated that a Jeep Wrangler was traveling along Highway 6 when the teen attempted to cross the roadway on his bicycle and was struck by the vehicle. The driver of the Jeep remained at the scene, cooperated fully with investigators, and showed no signs of intoxication.

DeAnthony was airlifted by LifeFlight helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center, where he was initially listed in critical condition. Despite what his family described as the tireless efforts of the medical team, DeAnthony ultimately succumbed to his injuries, leaving his family and community devastated. His mother had been present at the scene of the crash on Saturday night, waiting desperately for news of her son.

“It is with unimaginable heartbreak that we share that DeAnthony succumbed to his injuries,” his family said in a statement shared with KPRC 2. “Despite the tireless efforts of the medical team, our beloved DeAnthony passed away, leaving his family and community devastated.” They described their beloved boy as having an infectious smile, a joyful spirit, and a way of lighting up every room he entered, touching everyone who knew him with his kindness and energy.

As his family grapples with overwhelming grief, they are also facing unexpected funeral expenses estimated at around $16,000. An online fundraiser has been created to help cover these costs and support the family during this unimaginably difficult time. The Cypress Falls High School community, where DeAnthony was a freshman who excelled both academically and on the football field, has rallied around the Glenn family in their time of profound loss.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident, and no charges have been filed at this time given the driver’s cooperation and lack of impairment. The community now mourns the loss of a 14-year-old boy with a bright future, a young athlete whose life was cut tragically short on a Saturday night on Highway 6 near Pebble Lake Drive, leaving behind grieving family members who must now navigate a world without their beloved DeAnthony.
