It is with great sadness we announce the passing of David “Dave” Quisumbing, affectionately known as “DQ,” of Eatontown, New Jersey, who passed away unexpectedly at the age of 38 following a tragic accident in Wall Township.
His sudden loss has deeply saddened the Jersey Shore community, particularly in Eatontown and surrounding areas, where he was a beloved and familiar face in the local nightlife and hospitality scene.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Dave built his life on the Jersey Shore and became a fixture at some of the area’s most iconic establishments. He worked as a bartender at popular venues including Bar A in Lake Como, where his vibrant personality, signature cocktails, and remarkable ability to remember every regular’s name and favorite drink made him a local legend.
Beyond bartending, Dave was a dedicated entrepreneur at heart. He opened several small businesses that reflected his passion for hospitality and community engagement. His entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to creating memorable experiences left a positive mark on the Eatontown area and the broader Jersey Shore nightlife community.
Dave will be remembered for his contagious smile, quick wit, and genuine care for others. Colleagues, regulars, and friends describe him as someone who made every shift feel like a celebration and who treated everyone like family.
