Born on February 15, 1949, in Marion, Indiana, to Charles Wayne Stanley and Luetta Ann Stanley Derosett, both now deceased, he embodied the resilient spirit of his Midwestern roots before making Central Texas his home. He delighted in ten grandchildren—Broc Stanley, Bryce Stanley, Machelle Rosado, Kaitlyn Hall, Gabriel Rose, Kaden Rose, Alex Bergener, Charles Bender, Maria Bender, and Mae Sutton—along with five great-grandchildren Brayden O’Pry, Jayce Rosado, Tristan Hall, Rayleigh Rosado, and Holden Hall. His paternal devotion provided unwavering love and guidance across generations.
Survived also by sisters Sharon Hans and Susan Derosett, Stanley’s relational depth created enduring bonds that offered comfort and unity in family gatherings. His legacy of warmth and support persists in the lives he shaped, from military comrades to coached players and cherished descendants in Waco.
