Roger Michael Cooper Cole, a cherished resident of the community of Brighton in Ontario died peacefully on December 31, 2025, in Trenton, Ontario, with his family by his side.
Roger was born on May 19, 1951, in Toronto, and grew up in the city and pursued his education at Ryerson, graduating with a degree in Business. His professional life led him into the plastic packaging industry, where he worked as a Sales Director. In that role, he not only built a successful career but also forged many lifelong friendships, remembered for his integrity, warmth, and ability to connect with people.
Roger was known as a great neighbour always ready to lend a hand with home projects and equally grateful when others helped him, especially with tasks involving heights, which he preferred to avoid. His kindness and generosity left a lasting impression on those around him, making him a cherished presence in his community.
Fifteen years ago, Roger was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, a challenge he faced with courage and determination. Rather than allowing the illness to define him, he took pride in supporting Parkinson’s research. Together with his wife, Susan, he founded the Parkinson’s Superwalk team “Rogie’s Rockets.” Each year, the team rallied more than 30 supporters, often becoming the highest fundraising team in Cobourg and Northumberland County.
In his final years, Roger was lovingly cared for by his wife, Susan, and her sister, Christine, at their home in Brighton. Surrounded by love and support, he remained a source of inspiration to those closest to him.
Roger Michael Cooper Cole will be remembered not only for his professional achievements and community spirit but also for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to helping others. His legacy lives on in the friendships he nurtured, the family who adored him, and the countless lives touched by his advocacy for Parkinson’s research.
