Richard Lee Weston, known by his Lakota name Isnala Ohitika, was only 23-years-old when he left this world far too soon. Born on May 10, 2002, in Pine Ridge, South Dakota, to Ernest Weston Sr. and Dana (Richards) Weston, Richard carried a quiet strength and warm spirit that touched everyone who knew him in the community and beyond.
Richard will be remembered by family and friends for his ability to uplift others and his deep love for life. He embraced each day with resilience and joy, cherishing the connections he built and reminding those around him to treasure every moment. His genuine kindness and positive presence created lasting memories that will continue to inspire love and gratitude in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

A wake will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Porcupine Day School, providing an opportunity for family, friends, and community members to gather in remembrance and reflection. His funeral service will follow on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Rockyford School Gymnasium in Rockyford, South Dakota, with traditional Lakota services to honor his life and bid him farewell with love and respect.
