Krzysztof Zbigniew Stadnik Death – Resident of Oshawa, Ontario, Has Died on January 10

Krzysztof Zbigniew Stadnik of Oshawa, ON, died on January 10, 2026, at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa. He was 72. After nine long years of fighting health problems, he finally found peace, with his family right there holding his hand. That strength he showed, never giving up, meant so much to everyone around him.

He came into the world in Poland, the son of Zbigniew and Maria Stadnik, both gone now. Life took him far from there. In 1982, he and his wife Maria packed up and moved to Canada. They were chasing better days for their young family. Oshawa became home. They worked hard and made it a good one. For years, Krzysztof drove trucks. He loved the job. Long hours on the road, but he did it with pride. Always on time, always dependable. It was how he took care of the people he loved most.

Nothing mattered more than family. He and Maria celebrated 46 years together. Real love, the steady kind. He raised three daughters who adored him: Sylwia with Colin, Magda with Jeff, and Barbara. Then came the granddaughters, Celina and Izabella. He was their Dziadzia, and oh, how he spoiled them. Those girls were his sunshine.

He stayed close to his sister Katarzyna and her husband Arek in Germany. He was a favorite uncle to Dominka, Kasia, and Michał. His sister Marta Kluska and her husband Bogdan had passed before him. The Radomski family and cousins in Canada and Poland will miss him too.

Simple pleasures kept him happy. Country music on the radio. Old songs that made him tap his foot. And the garden. He planted trees every chance he got. Flowers, vegetables, whatever grew. He turned the yard into something beautiful, peaceful. You could find him out there often, hands dirty, smiling. The people at Extendicare Oshawa looked after him for eight years with real kindness. The staff at Lakeridge Health were gentle in his last days. His family thanks them from the heart.

People are coming together to say goodbye. Visitation happens January 20 at Armstrong Funeral Home on King Street East in Oshawa, from 1 to 3 and again 5 to 7. Prayers at 7, then some family stories shared. The Funeral Mass is January 21 at 11 in the morning at St. Hedwig’s Polish Catholic Church on Olive Avenue. Afterward, he rests at Resurrection Cemetery in Whitby.

If you want to remember him, give to the Heart and Stroke Foundation instead of flowers. Leave a note at armstrongfh.ca if you like.
Krzysztof lived quietly but fully. His love for his wife, his girls, his grandbabies, his garden, his music. All of it stays with us. He was a good man, and he’ll be missed every day.
