A beloved resident of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Jaclyn “Jacci” Marie Stephan, has sadly passed away on December 23, 2025. At the age of 47, she left this world unexpectedly at her home, bringing profound grief to her family, friends, and colleagues who cherished her warmth and vibrant spirit. Born on July 8, 1978, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Edward and Linda Wasko, Jacci grew up with a deep sense of creativity and determination that defined her throughout her life.
Jacci spent her formative years in Pulaski Township, Pennsylvania, where she graduated from New Brighton High School. She excelled in the school band as a talented trumpet player and later served as drum major for the marching band, showcasing her leadership and passion for music early on. These experiences helped shape her disciplined yet artistic approach to everything she pursued.
Professionally, Jacci built a solid career, starting in business banking where she worked for many years with dedication and skill. She later transitioned into project management for a construction company in Wisconsin, bringing her creativity and meticulous attention to detail to every task. Known for taking great pride in a job well done, she earned admiration from coworkers for her thoughtful support, quiet strength, and genuine kindness that brightened even challenging days.
As a devoted mother, Jacci centered her world around her daughter, Krysta Bywaters, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond filled with love and shared interests. She is also survived by her parents, Ed and Linda Wasko; her brother, Edward Stephan, and sister-in-law Rebecca; her aunt Julie Kraus; and her beloved cats, Bandit and Arya. Her family remembers her as a constant source of encouragement and compassion, always approaching life with integrity and care.
Jacci’s passions brought joy to those around her, from her skilled sketch artistry and photography that adorned the homes of loved ones to her love of writing and reading. An accomplished cook who especially enjoyed grilling, she delighted in gathering people through food, creating warm memories over shared meals. A lifelong and enthusiastic Pittsburgh Steelers fan, she shared this excitement with her father, cheering passionately and spreading that energy to others.
Though her passing leaves an irreplaceable void, Jacci’s legacy endures through the lives she touched with her authenticity, humor, and heartfelt connections. Her spirit of hard work, creativity, and unconditional love will continue to inspire her daughter, family, and friends. A celebration of her life is planned for February, offering a chance to honor a woman who lived fully and loved deeply.
