Fred R. Thiemann, a dedicated resident with deep roots in Peoria, Illinois, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025, at the Geneva Suites Living Community in Edina, Minnesota, at the age of 70. Born on June 29, 1955, in Peoria to Robert and Wilma Thiemann, he embodied the enduring values of family loyalty and professional integrity that characterized his life in central Illinois.

Thiemann’s educational journey shaped his professional path, graduating from Woodruff High School in the class of 1973 before earning a Bachelor’s degree in English from Bradley University in Peoria. This academic foundation equipped him with analytical skills and communication prowess that served him well in his career as a real estate appraiser, initially at the Peoria Township Assessor’s office and later joining his father’s firm, R. E. Thiemann Realtors.

In his personal pursuits, Thiemann cultivated a deep enthusiasm for classic music from the 1960s and 1970s, amassing a prized vinyl collection featuring artists like Bob Dylan, The Beatles, and Neil Young.
