Emily was born in Florence on September 3, 1999, and was raised with a strong bond with the neighborhood she always considered home.

Emily had a deep passion for creative expression, channeling her thoughts and emotions into writing and painting. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Earl and Betty Hansen and Don and Marguerite Blackburn, as well as her uncle Gary Hansen. Emily cherished her family and extended circle of loved ones, bringing warmth, laughter, and quiet support to every relationship. She was known for her kindness, her ability to listen deeply, and the way she made people feel truly seen and valued.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 6:00 p.m. These services provide an opportunity for loved ones, former classmates, neighbors, and community members to come together, share stories of Emily’s life, and support one another during this time of sorrow.
