The promising young anesthesiology resident at Emory University School of Medicine lost her life in a tragic car crash in the Atlanta area leaving the medical community her colleagues and loved ones devastated by the sudden loss of such a compassionate and dedicated physician.
A proud alumna of the University of Miami where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology Dr. Hudson-Jerman was initiated into the Tau Rho Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated and also held membership in Tau Beta Sigma.
She went on to graduate from the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell in 2022 before matching into the highly competitive anesthesiology residency program at Emory University. These academic milestones reflected her strong intellect commitment to service and deep passion for advancing healthcare equity.
During her residency at Emory Dr. Tiana Hudson-Jerman quickly distinguished herself as a CA2 resident with a special focus on obstetric anesthesia working diligently at Grady Memorial Hospital to improve safety and outcomes for mothers and families. She was recognized multiple times as Chief’s Resident of the Month for her outstanding teamwork flexibility and patient-centered approach that earned high praise from faculty and peers alike.
Beyond her professional responsibilities Dr. Hudson-Jerman embraced a vibrant lifestyle as a dedicated foodie and aspiring world traveler who found joy in exploring new cuisines cultures and experiences whenever her rigorous schedule permitted. She remained closely connected to her University of Miami roots and sorority sisters while building meaningful relationships within Atlanta’s medical community.
Dr. Tiana Hudson-Jerman possessed a radiant spirit and unwavering kindness that inspired those around her to deliver healthcare with greater compassion and humanity in every interaction. As a devoted daughter of Kevin Jerman she balanced the demands of residency with deep family connections that grounded her and fueled her drive to make a positive difference in the lives of patients and colleagues.
