He worked as a young man at Richtex Brick before joining South Carolina Electric & Gas Co. in the gas department, where he proudly served as a member of the Pipefitters Union for many years. His steady hands and strong work ethic supported his family and contributed to the reliable infrastructure that powered homes and businesses across the state.
David enjoyed hunting, fishing, building, and above all, spending time with his wife and family. These simple pleasures brought him immense joy throughout his life—he cherished quiet mornings on the water, the satisfaction of crafting or repairing something with his own hands, and the laughter shared around the dinner table or during family gatherings.
He was a member of the First Columbia Seventh Day Adventist Church in Lexington, where his faith guided his daily life and provided him with a strong sense of purpose and community. David lived with humility, kindness, and a deep appreciation for the people and activities that mattered most to him, leaving behind a legacy of love, dependability, and quiet strength.
