Born on December 28 1952 in North Platte Nebraska to Clarence Vernon Baty and Betty Jane Moore Baty he spent decades building a life filled with hard work musical passion and a deep love for the outdoors in the Cowboy State.

Butch worked for the State of Wyoming for nineteen years demonstrating consistent reliability and a strong work ethic in his public service roles. He later served as Maintenance Supervisor for the Sundowner Motel for twenty one years where his attention to detail and commitment to excellence kept the property running smoothly and earned him great appreciation from staff and guests alike.

He had a lifelong love of Elvis Presley and shared that passion by performing the King’s music for others as part of Butch Baty and the Sundance Kids. Many in the community fondly recall his energetic performances that brought smiles and memories of classic rock and roll to local events and gatherings.
