A beloved resident of Atwood, Indiana, Beech Howard, has sadly passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026. Mr. Howard died at the Kosciusko Community Lutheran Hospital in Warsaw, Indiana, bringing to a close a life filled with hard work and devoted family bonds.
He was born on May 18, 1945, in Jackson, Kentucky, to Harris and Pearlie (Miller) Howard. He remained in his hometown for his early years, graduating from high school there before dedicating much of his career as a supervisor at Gulf Stream RV Manufacturing.
Mr. Howard’s passions in life were a vibrant reflection of his spirited personality. He found joy in the deep resonance of playing the bass guitar and the freedom of riding motorcycles. When at rest, he was an enthusiast of western movies and the energy of live music. Above all else, he cherished the time spent with his family, building lasting memories with his children and grandchildren.
Beech Howard is survived by his sons, Lance Howard and Dewayne Howard, and his daughter, Grace Osborne. His legacy is also carried on by his 14 grandchildren and his numerous great-grandchildren, who will remember his love and guidance. He was preceded in death by his parents, several siblings, his daughters Sharlene and Tammy Howard, his son Ricky Howard, and his grandson Dustin Reaker.
To honor and celebrate his life, a visitation will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, located at 115 S. Main St. in Bourbon, Indiana. A funeral service will follow at the same location on Friday, January 9, 2026, beginning at 2:30 p.m., with Pastor Kristin Harp officiating. His final resting place will be Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bourbon, Indiana.
Final arrangements for Mr. Howard are being compassionately handled by the Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home. Friends and family are invited to attend these services to pay their respects, share cherished stories, and celebrate a life that was truly well-lived, marked by dedication, passion, and an unwavering love for his family.
